Our first priority when you have had an injury is to help relieve the pain!
ACC covers between 12 – 18 visits under Chiropractic Care, depending on your injury.
Under ACC, you would normally be seen 2 to 3 times per week in the initial couple of weeks to stabilize the spine, restore normal function and aid the soft tissue healing.
This would generally extend to 1 – 2 times per week, again depending on your injury and then extended out to monthly.
It is very important to follow your appointment recommendations even though you may feel a decrease in pain/symptoms as your spine is continuing to heal, the biomechanics are still improving and supporting muscles are starting to function normally.
Once your spine has stabilized and function has returned to normal for you, you will no longer be covered by ACC. This is when care is considered maintenance.
